About Me

How my cooking adventure started...my son. He has been a picky eater since he started eating solid foods. Under the pressure of this very tiny food critic, I learned to make tasty foods while paying attention to food texture and presentation. My son is now a teenager but is still a picky eater. He would invite his friends over and they all call me "Auntie Emily". Of course, as their auntie, I am responsible to feed them well while they're at my house.

I was born in Taiwan to parents raised in Hong Kong. We immigrated to Canada when I was 5 years old. Although I'm quite westernized, I was introduced to Chinese home cooking by my parents, so my comfort foods have always been some kind of Asian food. I hope to share some traditional as well as westernized Asian dishes that you can make in your kitchen and share with your family and friends.
